Amritsar is a city in the northwestern Indian state of Punjab. Its 32 K.m from Lahore Pakistan and very close to Indian’s western boarder with Pakistan. Amritsar is a holy city of Punjab. It get its name from the words “Amrit” and “Sarovar” .its meaning “ pool of neclecr it was founded in 1577 by the 4TH Sikh guru ram Dass ji . Amritsar is the holiest Place for Sikhs. In 13 April 1919 thousand Men,Women and Children were killed by the British soldiers . there is a well, many people had jumped to their death. Memorial remain today as evidence of the faithfully event.
Dergiana Temple : Dergiana Temple is an important religions point of hindus. Its called hindus Golden temple. The temple is built in the middle of a holy lake, and the architecture of the structure resembles that of the famous Golden Temple. It is dedicated to Goddess Durga . This temple is a face simile of “The Golden Temple”.It is built with white marble and in its upper dome plated with the gold.
